HOME Program

Have you always wanted to own a home, but you just don’t have the resources to take out a mortgage?

We’ll help you find programs like HOME that can provide you with the support you need to become a homeowner!

What’s HOME?

The Home Investment Partnership Program, or HOME for short, is a US federal aid program from the HUD that provides funds to state and local governments that are designed to make housing affordable for low income earners. It’s the largest federal block grant in the country, with over 2 billion dollars allocated annually.

A block grant is a type of grant that’s delivered as a lump sum and only comes with a few basic guidelines on how it should be spent, so that local authorities can adapt it to suit the needs of the local community.

This program is designed to offset some of the costs of purchasing a home, building or rehabilitating homes, purchasing property for homes, or for providing aid to community housing development organizations.
